About the role

As part of Daltix’s growth ambitions, we are looking for a Product Manager to join our team.

In this role you will have a direct impact on how we position ourselves in the market. You will be integral to co-creating a product ready for European growth and will help set the product strategy in how we can differentiate ourselves in each market. You will also collaborate with engineering to help translate the product strategy into the product roadmap. Since we are operating in the grocery retail space, we expect you to have work experience in retail, and a big affinity for data and technology.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibility will be to set the product vision and translate this to the product roadmap

  • Market positioning: Via your domain knowledge you define how Daltix should position ourselves in the market, what value we bring and how we differ from competition in the short and long term. You understand the customer journey and at what stages we need to improve.

  • Translating: You will be responsible for defining the business case, deciding on priorities and translating business requirements to the different engineering teams and their team leads.

  • Customer facing: You’ll join sales and product delivery occasionally to customer meetings where you bring value by explaining the business cases, the product vision and our roadmap.

  • Validating and releasing: You are the end-owner of the releases, in which you are responsible for final validation and communication to our customers, covering all aspects of the product.

  • Explaining: You'll be the SPOC for explaining our positioning and roadmap to a wide spectrum of audiences including sales, marketing, engineering and also towards our customers and prospects.

Job requirements

  • You know how (grocery) retail works, the dynamics between retailers and suppliers, which sources on market data are being used and towards which goals they serve.

  • You have at least 5 years of professional experience of which a minimum of 3 years of work experience at a retailer or supplier in the role of price manager, promo manager, category manager, trade marketeer or a similar role. Prior experience as a product manager is a plus.

  • You are an expert in working with data, you love playing around with BI Tools and have a practical working knowledge of SQL (we will get you to the advanced level).

  • You're an expert in structuring complex assignments that involve working with many people. You're organised and are able to manage & prioritise a lot of information.

  • You’re an excellent communicator who’s able to communicate both with brilliant engineers and business focussed stakeholders. Powerpoint is your 2nd language. You must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken, since you’ll work with people of different nationalities.

  • You have a healthy interest in our tech stack (Snowflake, Python, AWS, …)

  • You are excited to work in a startup or scale-up environment (with 25 ~FTE)

We are a Remote first company, but we come together 1 day per week in Antwerp (Belgium). You should be living in either Belgium or the Netherlands
